Mary Ellen King founded the firm in 2011 in Austin, Texas, as a full-service insurance litigation boutique. In June, Rick King joined the firm and brought his wealth of litigation knowledge to the firm. One year later, in May 2012, the firm opened its Dripping Springs office. With a team of attorneys and support personnel assisting in providing top notch client service, KLG practices in the state courts of Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama and federal courts nationwide.
The firm model has been successful in attracting insurance companies and business clients who value efficient, value-added, practical legal counsel — with big firm attention to detail at realistic and attractive rates.
Since its inception, King Law Group has broadened and diversified its client base to include clients from Fortune 500 companies and large insurance companies to new and small businesses and insurance companies in need of effective and efficient legal counsel.

Brandon is an experienced commercial litigator who focuses on contract, construction, and real estate matters. He has represented numerous homeowners in construction and real estate matters, and a wide array of businesses, including construction firms, software companies, distilleries, and retailers in various commercial disputes and transactional matters. Brandon leverages his experience as a commercial litigator to assist clients with transactional matters related to their businesses, such as entity formation, membership or stock purchase agreements and transactions, and contract drafting.
Brandon routinely assists construction firms navigate the complex mechanic and materialman’s lien laws in Texas and protect their rights under Texas law. Brandon’s extensive experience with the Texas Residential Construction Liability Act gives him the tools to help homeowners and construction firms navigate construction defect claims and resolve them efficiently and effectively. His practice takes him to state and federal courts throughout Central Texas.”
